Word Has It celebrates working three years with Mermaid Quay establishments

We are firm believers in that a PR company should not be judged on how many clients they have, but for how long they retain their clients for. Word Has It prides itself on going above and beyond for our clients and the proof is in the pudding, as we boast working with a number of our clients for many consecutive years.

Most recently, we celebrated three years working with Mermaid Quay’s favourite local establishments; Demiro’s, La Cha Cha and VIP Piano Lounge. Throughout the last three years, we have been growing each restaurant’s online presence through the management of their social media channels and in return, have increased their SEO. We have also played a lead role in securing PR for all three establishments in local and online media titles – be it through a charity event we have aligned them in or being chosen as the best bar in Cardiff!

We are perhaps, however, most proud of the strategic charity partnerships that we have initiated and managed since 2009, which has raised a significant amount of money for local charities. A recent example is La Cha Cha’s chosen charity for 2015 – the phenomenal Tenovus Cancer Care. Not only does La Cha Cha support all Cardiff bay based events the charity run (serving food and drink to employees and volunteers) but they also help fundraise through dedicated events of their own, including hosting events for the charity’s famous choirs. A recent festive event the restaurant presented for the charity raised over £4000 – an amount that overwhelmed the charity – and the current total stands at over £5000.

We have also organised fundraising events at both Demiro’s and VIP Piano Lounge and in December, we brought the first defibrillator to Mermaid Quay for all of our neighbours to use. As well as strategic charity partnerships, we also partnered with the Wales Millennium Centre to host VIP after-parties and private dining experiences at both establishments for different casts and crews over the last three years, including Ghost, Wicked and The Lion King.

We have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Mermaid Quay establishments for the last three years and look forward to working with the Demiro’s, La Cha Cha and VIP Piano Lounge teams for many more years to come. In the meantime, if you’re yet to try out these incredible local gems then here’s some info on each to get your taste buds excited!

Demiro’s restaurant is Cardiff Bay’s most stylish restaurant and Champagne bar and is located just a stone’s throw away from the Wales Millennium Centre. Their Spanish, Italian and Welsh cuisines are brimming with the freshet seasonal ingredients, which, on weekends and special occasions, are served by famed singing waiters for a totally unique and operatic dining experience like no other!

La Cha Cha is the only independently run Spanish tapas destination in Cardiff’s bustling Cardiff Bay offering authentic dishes from some of Spain’s most famed regions – and cooked to chef Miguel of Barcelona’s signature – sacred – recipes. They are committed to using locally sourced seasonal produce, the finest meats and cheeses from around the world and only the best quality herbs and spices to ensure maximum flavour. La Cha Cha are proud to use all natural ingredients within their traditional recipes and cooking methods to produce the most authentic Spanish flavours on Cardiff’s very own Costa De Sol at Cardiff Bay.

The VIP Piano Lounge is Cardiff Bay’s best kept secret and provides a world of almost sinful luxury. Velvet drapes in deepest red, 7-foot chandeliers, a 28-foot long ice bar, a Swarovski crystal chesterfield and a grand piano set the scene for this utterly unique venue. Although it may look and feel like a members club, with service to match, it is in fact a place where all are welcome – and everyone is a VIP. The bar houses an extensive selection of Champagnes and bubbly ranging from reasonable house Champagne and Prosecco to ultra-indulgent Armand de Brignac ‘Ace of Spades’ – along with an impressive wine, beer and spirits list and the best cocktails in Cardiff!
